My wife and I decided that the plethora of digital cameras in our house (mine, mom and dad’s, the cameras on all four cell phones) weren’t enough. We need a camcorder.

I have been working the online forums for a good one that will fit our budget, but there are too many things to consider. Like, do we go with HD or standard? What about DVD? A hard drive? Does it have a hot shoe? What about editing?

If anyone has any recommendations, let me know.
